But before you do, read this

I consider myself fortunate to not have heard of Stefan Sharkansky before now. He's a right wing blogger with odious opinions, indistinguishable from the rest of the right wing noise machine.

And a horrible customer at restaurants.

A little while ago, a waitress blogged about how she had served him, and he let his kid run around wild and left a 10% tip, which was OK maybe in 1984.

Now granted: I don't have kids, so I have no idea how I'd be as a parent, but I don't think I'd be able to stand letting them run wild. And I occasionally leave 10% tips, but usually only when I just order drinks and appetizers or I'm really, really low on cash and I always feel guilty about it so I leave much much more the next time *breathe* anyway...

Well, she blogged about the experience, and maybe she shouldn't have, but how many times have I unloaded about my advisor/job/assholes I'm trying to teach? How many times have you, dear reader, unloaded in a blog? That should have been the end of it, but no- Sharkansky apparently obsessively googles himself.

He ran a smear campaign against her that cost her a job. She took down the post under duress of losing her other job.

There really are no words here... this is below the level of that nut job who's suing PZ Meyers for panning his creationist piece of crap on the internet. I mean, how low can you go, Sharkansky? Why did you do it? Did you have to beat up someone to feel like a man?

I will say for Livejournal's purposes that this is all secondhand information, except for exactly what I think of Stefan Sharkansky. And if he's reading this, and he doesn't like what I've said, I suggest he re-reads the subject line.

Well, if you google 'Sharkansky' you get 'Sharkansky the Waitress-slayer' somewhere at number five. I have no idea who this guy is but ehr.. being nice to people in shitty jobs is kind of a sine qua non for being considered an acceptable social presence as an individual.
