I had to do some troubleshooting for my Mom tonight. She, like me, prefers a Mac to a PC, but I have come to terms with the fact that I'm going to be able to do some things on PC that I can't do on a Mac. I kind of have a love-hate relationship with my work computer as a result of that, but it works.
Mom, on the other hand, has a hate-hate relationship with hers. Honestly, I think that if I were to find a way to hack her embroidery machine design program tomorrow, she'd be reenacting that scene from Office Space with it before dinnertime.
I still don't understand why she used the Windows computer to make this spreadsheet- I am sure that she's got a copy of Excel on her Mac, and I gave her instructions based on that assumption. For the most part, it worked, but when it came time to email, it fell apart.
And so, I had to help my mom come to terms with The Horror that is Outlook.
( DE TING! )
The really funny part about this whole thing is that I sent her De Ting this morning.
She hasn't read it yet because she can't find it in her junk mailbox.
