Thanksgiving meme

What I am thankful for:

-My family
-My friends, specifically the ones that are putting me up for the night and feeding me turkey :)
-My job, especially in this economy
-The fact that I hiked up those streams yesterday and not in the 30 F weather that we're getting on Friday
-The fact that I got to see Matt and Shelley the world's cutest beagle last night
-Kung Fu Hustle
-BSG Razor is coming on Saturday
-The fact that my thesis is done and awaiting signatures!
-Civil rights and their defenders
-A working car
-My computer
-The fact that I might be able to get a dog after the holidays!
-Free speech
-Pumpkin pie

Amen to that... (is counting down.. only 22 months in this heap that is Clyde-coast.)

Regrettably, Thanksgiving is a US thing, I'd rather like the idea of being put up by friends and being fed Turkey. :-)

Now I must ask, who is Ursula Vernon? of the hamster icon? Is that one take-able, or is it one you prefer not to pass it along? I am into hamster icons, but understand if you say no.

Ursula Vernon is one of my favorite artists- I think you'd like her. She does Digger (http://www.graphicsmash.com//comics/digger.php?view=current), and she's got a book coming out (look for it on Amazon). And yes- you can take the icon! :)

But you still haven't told me... what kinda dog?

Hmmm...don't have any geology icons... here's my angry icon, best I have on hand. Oh, my distant cousin is a geologist. :) If I were twenty people, maybe one of me would be a geologist, too. And an archaeologist, and a zoologist. And a botanist. That's only four... hmm, throw in a marine biologist. Yeah!
