Friends punk out on you for New Years? Check.

Holiday party suck? Check.

Haven't done hardly any Christmas shopping? Check.

Can't afford to? Check.

Alumni trip get canceled or postponed until February after you told everyone you were going? Check, check and check.

Lost gym card and can't get motivated to find it? Double check.

December 21st can't come fast enough.

Edit: Found the gym card and did a little bit of Christmas shopping. Still can't really afford to, but that's the way it goes. I hope my brother likes that $40 worth of comic book trade paperbacks... Persepolis is for class (and I may have to buy it off him after he's done), Pride of Baghdad is one I thought he'd like.

You have my sympathies. I feel this way about February.

I plan to spend New Year's Eve holed up with my cat, some spiked hot chocolate, and a stack of DVDs.

Check. I'm looking forward to Jan 1. All I need to do is make it through the in-laws holiday get together (which, actually, is usually quite enjoyable and probably will be again this year), my dad's out of town guest who will be staying with us because my dad doesn't have room at their house for guests and we get to play taxi for because my folks also don't own a single 4WD or AWD vehicle despite living on one of the steepest hills in town, make it through Christmas with my family without anyone crying or screaming and I'm golden (until next year).

I don't even have the excuse of having lost my gym card - I've just been horribly unmotivated, which has not been helped by my sister sending me about 15 lbs of Lebkuchen, and my dad claiming that he's baked a ton of things for us to take home.
